Cult author Chuck Palahniuk (Choke, Haunted, Guts) announced at the Annual Home of Announcements that is Comicon that he was already working on multiple sequels to his first hit novel "Fight Club".
If you've not read the book, or at the very least seen the movie with Ed Norton as The
Narrator (never actually named but though to be called Jack) and Brad Pitt at Tyler Durden, then where the bloody hell have you been? Get it read/watched sharpish! It concerns The Narrator and his dealings with charismatic but shady Tyler Durden and their setting up of violently cathartic fight clubs, where men pummel each other then laugh about it later.
The book came out in 1996, the movie in 1999. The follow ups (multiple) will come in the form of graphic novels, and take place 10 years after the events of Fight Club.
Palahniuk was quoted on his fansite, The Cult, saying this next thing... "About the graphic novel, it’s true. Chelsea Cain (author of Kill You Twice, Heartsick and more) has been introducing me to artists and creators from Marvel, DC and Dark Horse, and they’re walking me through the process. It will likely be a series of books that update the story ten years after the seeming end of Tyler Durden. Nowadays, Tyler is telling the story, lurking inside Jack, and ready to launch a come-back. Jack is oblivious. Marla is bored. Their marriage has run aground on the rocky coastline of middle-aged suburban boredom. It’s only when their little boy disappears, kidnapped by Tyler, that Jack is dragged back into the world of Mayhem."
If you know the nature of Tyler Durden then that's quite a confusing statement, and you'll have to remain in that state of unknowing bewilderment until 2015, which is when the first of the sequels is set to be released.
