The 2003 cult classic Old Boy is to be remade for mainstream western audiences.
The South Korean
thriller was a huge hit with film fans and this remake will no doubt receive
a mixed reception.
The original story is based somewhat loosely on the dark Japanese manga of Nobuaki Minegishi and Garon Tsuchiya and can only be described as a bit fucked up. Staring Samuel Jackson and Josh Broilin this version looks like it could be just as gritty. Old Boy is in cinemas in December this year.
