Rabbi Says Soy Beans Make You Gay

A Rabbi from the ultra-orthodox Hasidic yeshiva of Gur sect has banned soy beans, claiming that they encourage gay sex amongst his students.

A report in HaMevasser stated that the Rabbi feared the hormones in soy based products are capable of damaging the spirituality of the boys and make them mature sexually at an accelerated rate. He also believes this would cause confusion resulting in unwanted homosexual arousal. Because that makes perfect sense.

Students at the all boys school have been told to:

"Stay away from any food containing soy because even eating a soy based product just once a week can cause unwanted arousal."

The Rabi reportedly harbours an extreme fear that his pupils will lose their masculinity and become more effeminate as a result of ingesting products high in the healthy meat alternative.

Despite medical professionals denouncing these claims as nonsense, this is apparently a belief commonly held within some orthodox sectors of the community.

Well, if your mother has said it and your Rabi decrees it, there goes all hopes of a cheeky shrimp & tofu pad at the weekend then!
