The Hottest Autumn / Winter Trends

With the party season fast approaching, and increasing excuse to go shopping for that perfect outfit, Mallzee brings you some of A/W biggest (& in some cases brightest!) trends.

Sequins
There are but a few times of the year when it is appropriate to look like a glittering human disco ball and winter is one of them so best embrace it, everyone deserves to sparkle, right? If the weather isn’t making a statement, then your outfit certainly should. Whether you fear the sequin and just need a subtle pop of bling or you are an established worshiper of all things shiny, we have the pieces to make you sparkle.

You can pick out any of the jewel tones to match with this ASOS clutch or glam up your faithful LBD, at [£40.00] it isn’t the cheapest but will survive the party season, as long as you do.

This sequin crop from Missguided is a steal, [£19.99], perfect for a student stipend. Wear with disco pants or jazz up your summer maxi skirt (we’re thrifty thinkers here at Mallzee HQ!).

All that glitters doesn’t necessarily have to be gold. This skirt from River Island [£50.00] incorporates colour blocking for a modern twist on sequinned glamour. Very Gatsby-esque if we do say so ourselves…

Burgundy
Let’s not lie, wine is always in season, but this year we’re wearing deep reds without cracking out the stain remover.

This Virgo’s Lounge Andrea dress [55.00] is perfect for those up-coming Christmas parties. And best of all, it’s in the sale. Get it NOW!

It’s pretty much the clothing equivalent of a big bowl of mum’s homemade soup (ok that sounds a little gross, but read on…), nothing says cosy winter warmer like an oversized jumper- it’s practically a wearable hug. This one from Boohoo [£15.00] can be dressed up with a statement necklace and heeled biker boots.

Match your merlot with your kimono and kill two style birds with one stone. The cut out detail gives this on trend ASOS kimono [£40.00] an edge.

Lace
Lace has seen a gothic twist this season, with dark hues and rough edges. Less doily, more corpse bride, with a couture edge.

Zara is never one to shy away from a trend, this negligee-style dress [£89.99], also incorporates tartan, another big hit in the fashion houses. Keep warm with a polo neck or pair with some delicate strappy sandals.

This eyelash lace crop from Urban Outfitters [£38.00] is more Wednesday Adams than Wedding but it also comes in white for those less Gothic-inclined.

Not for the faint-hearted, this lace shirt from All Saints [£138.00] is designed to make a visual impact. Great if you have some underwear/ribs you want to show off but maybe don’t wear this one to church, we’re not sure grandma would be a fan…
