Twitter-Powered Knitting Machine

Budweiser UK have recently shown off their latest invention in a campaign to encourage the importance of appointing a designated driver whilst on a night out to help cut down on drink driving.


Twitter users can tweet the machine by using the hashtag #jumpers4des and using special technology the machine will knit bright red festive pullovers for the Christmas season.

The beverage maker set up Knitbot to encourage people to appoint designated drivers over the festive period. All of the bright jumpers bear the slogan "Celebrate Responsibilty" to link in with Bud's christmas safety campaign
The company’s marketing manager Jennifer Anton said: ‘We wanted to promote and celebrate the important role that designated drivers play in a fun and engaging way, with our own take on the festive knitwear trend.’ 

Special Give Back Budweiser packs in ASDA will donate a percentage of profits to the UK charity RoadSafe, and the campaign hopes to raise £20,000.

Knitbot began knitting last Monday but will continue knitting until Dec 6th

Wireless Magazine thoroughly encourage the important safety whilst drinking. Whilst on a night pick a designated driver to stay sober to safely get all of you home, however the bold jumper isn’t mandatory.
