World War Z is Brad Pitt's Highest Grossing Film Ever

You all shit on it before it had even been released, but World War Z has just become Brad Pitt's highest grossing worldwide release ever ever. It's made over $500 Million, kicking sand in the face of "Troy" and shoving the dead yet sexy bodies of "Mr and Mrs Smith" into an airing cupboard for a family member to discover.

It had a fairly tumultuous production life, with numerous reshoots tacked on to make it less terrible/depressing and huge great wadges of cash tipped into its never satisfied pie-hole, but when World War Z was finally released we went to see it and we decided that "Yeah... it's pretty good."

And it is. It's pretty good. It's the most pretty good movie you're ever likely to see, and now the money has proved it. The Earth spanning tale of former UN Investigator Gerry Lane has captured your imagination and also about £12 out of your wallet. It's poised to continue raking in the dosh when it comes out on DVD as well, possibly with its original ending and a plethora of deleted scenes.

Brad'll be happy, because as you know he's got more kids than a slutty goat and what with them being from all corners of the globe I bet he has to change a lot of their pocket money into foreign currencies, which is a nightmare.

If you weren't aware, World War Z is based (incredibly bloody loosely) on a book by Max Brooks you need to go immediately to the Amazon and buy. Here's a link to do that, so you don't forget. It's only £4. Better yet, pick up the award winning Audio book performed by people like Alan Alda, Mark Hamill and John Turturro.
