Coolio Cooks For Students and Plays a Song

Coolio Cooks Up A Treat

Everyone has had a surreal and bizarre night at University, but it’s doubtful many of them have involved a rapper who has sold over 17 million albums cooking a three course meal and performing in their flat.

A group of students from University of Central Lancaster had that exact night – with US rapper Coolio.

After performing in Preston, where the rapper kicked off the first stage of his world tour, Coolio met the students in the VIP section of the after party and offered to cook for Olivia Johnson-Aley, who recorded the video, and her housemates the following night.

Coolio kept his promise and during a break from cooking had a jam session with the students, where they were fortunate enough to join in and witness a special acoustic version of ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ – one of the biggest selling singles of all time.

The rapper’s interest in cooking has seen him release his own cook book and cooking programme titled “Cookin’ with Coolio”, and includes meals such as Chicken Lettuce Blunts, Bro-Ghetti, and Tricked Out Westside Tilapia.

It’s safe to say, this was a pretty cool-io *cough* night.
