Mouse Defeats Snake To Win Freedom

A mouse at Hangzhou Zoo in China has been given its freedom after zookeepers witnessed it attack a venomous snake to save its friend.

The two furry snacks were served up as a live dinner for the snake at Hangzhou Zoo in Zhejiang province, eastern China.

Keeper Wen Shao said:"We always give the snakes live food, and we put the two mice into the snake enclosure. But instead of trying to hide like they usually do, one of the mice attacked the snake when it saw it trying to eat the other mouse. I have never seen anything like that before," keeper Wen Shao said.

The snake was not available to comment but I'm sure he's pretty embarrassed by the whole affair.

Sadly, the mouse's buddy didn't make it, but our hero can rest assured knowing he did quite a bit of damage to the snake by biting its head, according to Shou.

The defiant mouse was given it's freedom and is now running free in a the cheese filled streets of southern China. To be honest what choice did the lab have other than to risk it biting more snakes.
