New Inbetweeners Movie Announced

Jay, Neil, Simon & Will, having it large

Iain K. Morris and Damon Beesley, creators of hit TV series and then hit movie The Inbetweeners, confirmed on Facebook this morning that he's working on a sequel and that all four main characters will return.

The story of a group of awkward teenage mates living in a suburban town near London somewhere was massive for 3 series on Channel Four, and when the movie came out in 2011 it quickly became the highest grossing British film of all time. Inbetweeners The Movie saw the four lads (played by James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and Simon Bird) head off on a lads holiday in Greece (played by Magaluf) and was very funny indeed.

Ian Morris explained; "We couldn't be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake. Frankly it's pathetic how much we've all missed each other. A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie."

Production should start later this year for the movie to be released August 2014. No details on plot as yet, but perhaps they'll go to like... Vegas. Or Bangkok or somewhere.
