Police in Pennsylvania's Amish country say a horse pulling a buggy has been killed in a drive-by shooting.
An Amish family were travelling in the traditional horse and cart buggy when a conventional car slowed and pulled alongside. The family reported what they described as a fire cracker then the other car sped away.
The horse collapsed soon after and was found to be bleeding from the mid torso. A veterinarian examination later revealed the horse had been fatally shot in the left side.
This is truly a bizarre case and as yet the motive is unknown. The police are continuing in their efforts to find the other car and the shooter. My money is on Trevor Phillips.
