"Casual Rape" T-Shirt Causes University Cricket Team Ban

A University cricket team has been banned from competing and had all funding withdrawn after one of its members was spotted wearing a t-shirt bearing the slogan "casual rape".

A member of the Aberystwyth University cricket team was spotted wearing the offensive t-shirt on a night out. All the players were wearing matching pink shirts, each bearing a unique mantra on the back.

The disgusting statement has provoked a ruthless response from the University, as all the other shirts were innocently good humoured.

A spokesman for the cricket club said: "We understand the severity of the situation and steps are being undertaken to ensure no further offence is caused."

The funding withdrawal was just the start. Repercussions including a hearing in front of a disciplinary panel in which the player was described has having brought the Uni and his club into disrepute, as well as having broken the code of conduct. Furthermore they will be banned from all further competitions.

The spokesperson went on to say, "Nothing of this nature will happen again – any reference to rape in that manner is completely unacceptable and is not, nor will it be, condoned in the future."

So, not only did the cricketer offend every woman in the bar he may have stood a chance with, he has gone and ruined the fun for everyone by having his team effectively disbanded. Great job with the misogynist. jokes.
