A female substitute teacher has been banned from ever teaching again after texting a 17 year old boy asking for sex and making inappropriate requests for demonstrations of sex acts from his classmates.
Drama teacher and trained actress, Lindsey Black, 28, was standing in to instruct the sixth form while the class's usual teacher was on maternity leave. However, her "instruction" was not exactly what parents were expecting.
She reportedly texted a boy, known only as Pupil A, in a bid to set up a Caroline Flack/Harry Styles type soiree with the underage boy. She singled out individual class members by asking those who were virgins to stand up in front of the class and asking others for demonstrations of their sexual exploits. An awkward situation for a class full of inexperienced, fumbling kids who probably still struggle to fasten their own bras, let alone remove anyone else's.
The worst part? Nope, not that it was a sexually conservative Catholic school she was subbing in. It was her innocent quip that all this was in an effort to get the kids "into character". What character, pray tell??
The best part? Colleagues, Abigail Watts and Sandra Davies told the Professional Conduct Committee of the General Teaching Council of Wales that Ms Black messaged Pupil A about having dreamt of them having sex. It was also revealed she was interviewed by police in 2011 on a similar matter but no further action was taken.
Colleagues also stated that Ms Black would even discuss her own sexual fantasies in class, including one where she would cheat on her fiancé by having sex on a table in the drama class.
The General Teaching Council panel ruled her unfit to teach and she cannot reapply for at least five years, to be allowed to teach again.
