A group of children in a Florida cinema recently had a premature sexual awakening when their cartoon trailers were interrupted by the X-rated trailer for Nymphomaniac….. the most x-rated film ever to be shown in a mainstream cinema…..
The kids were settling down with their popcorn and fizzy sweets getting ready for the latest bollocks from Disney, when all of a sudden they suffered a full on visual assault from director Lars Von Trier.
Lars’s films are the kind where he manages to round up enough well known faces to get away with releasing a disturbing porn flick to a wider than art house audience. If you saw 2009's Antichrist you will have some idea what I’m talking about. The trailer for this latest film is no less confrontational featuring sadomasochism, full frontal nudity and I think a blow job at one point but I’ve never seen one of those in real life.
A horrified grandmother told Fox news in Tampa, ‘It seemed like forever when you’re trying to, you know, cover a little guy’s eyes. I didn’t have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good.’
Hopefully the kids didn’t get the full red band trailer below. Be warned this is very much not safe for work or for those expecting a Toy Story trailer.
