Battlefield 4 – Review - XboxOne

Here we go again. Another drab, by-the-book military shooter. Honestly, the world must be tired with this rinse-and-repeat formula that developers use these days. Is anyone stepping up to change how games are played? Perhaps lower down the echelons they are, but up at the top with the likes of Call of Duty the train has been stuck at the same station for some time.

Batman: Arkham Origins Review

Like many nerds with money to burn, I pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Origins ages ago and as such my forward planning was rewarded when the slightly angry looking postman dropped it off this morning; the day of release.

If you’re not familiar with the franchise, Batman: Arkham Something is now three games (this new one being the third) and has been showered with so many awards you’d think the CEO of Warner Bros Games was Adele. You play The Goddamn Batman as you zip around an island asylum and then an Escape of LA style city-based prison, punching criminals in their turkey faces and growling.

Flashback Game Review

Is the modern day remake worthy of its decades old predecessor, or will the reimagining of a classic have you experiencing flashbacks of a better time.

Flashback: The Quest for Identity released back in 1992, threw players into its world with little to no backstory. You awoke in a tropical jungle completely unaware of how you came to be there, or why. The idea was as you progressed through the game the wider conspiracy and your role in these events unfolded around you, fairly standard story telling for a video game, right?

Saints Row IV Review

The Saints have returned and this time they’re not just running Steel Port, they’re running the entire country. But is Volitions fourth entry in the Saints series worth your time or has the wacky, zany humour run its course.



For some the Saints Row series has been viewed as the poor man’s Grand Theft Auto, but labelling a franchise that has been as successful for Volition as Saints Row has would be a disservice to a fantastic series, especially when this time around, its safe to say Saints Row finally steps out from GTA’s shadow.

Splinter Cell Blacklist Review
