Coca-cola have today apologised for accidentally printing “You Retard” on the inside of a bottle cap. The unfortunate words were discovered on a bottle of Vitamin Water, by a family with a disabled child.
Blake Yoates, from Alberta Canada, told the Huffington Post: “We thought it might have been a disgruntled employee or someone in a (bottling) plant playing a joke”
She added: "We immediately thought, you have got to be kidding me?”, before taking a picture of the offending bottle and sending it to her father.
Understandably furious, Doug Loates wrote a letter of complaint to the multinational beverage corporation, who blamed the mistake on an error relating to a competition where random French and English words were printed on their caps.
