An artist has started to create photo frames out of mother’s placentas to house photos of their babies.

Amanda Cotton, 25 says that she has had positive feedback from all her clients and has a lot of orders and request come through.

The Cheeky Parlour, London - Review

If you're anything like me, the thought of going to a hair or beauty salon can be a daunting prospect. From the awkward conversation between yourself and the stylist, to the sheer disappointment of leaving with that dodgy barnet you allowed to happen. Lets face it, the whole thing can be pretty excruciating.

Thats where The Cheeky Parlour comes in. Located in the bustling and ever so trendy, Shoreditch, the salon boasts an impressive space that looks more like a NYC studio than your average, brightly lit corner salon. On arrival, you will be handed a quick form to fill where you can choose what service you are requiring, as well as food and drink. Its 11am and a glass of wine is totally justifiable whilst you wait for your blow dry, ok?

"I AM CULTURE!" - Stewart Lee at the Leicester Square Theatre

It is very difficult to attempt a review any of Stewart Lee's stand up. It is purposely devised and performed in such a way as to alienate as many of the people who might happen upon it as possible. If Stewart Lee had his way, and the ability to feed his family was no object, he would play to rooms of two people or less and those people would laugh all of the moisture from their bodies and be wheeled out with the most amazing six-packs you'd have ever seen.

He is very funny, but only if you like that sort of thing. I do like it, a great deal, but therein lies the problem.

With an imminent release of a greatest hits, “Direct Hits” and rumours that the Las Vegas rockers are going to take a break, it’s no wonder The Killers’ show at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith sold out instantaneously.

Once The Musical: Review

Once the musical brings to life the passion and energy of Glen Hansard’s music from the 2006 film of the same name. If you are a fan of the movie you need to go and see this show. If you have never seen the film you need to watch it, then go see the show.

The film was shot on the streets of Dublin on a shoe string budget, telling the story of a struggling songwriter trying to make ends meet. The plot quickly develops into a romance when Markéta Irglová enters the songwriter’s (Glen Hansard’s) life over a chance encounter with a hoover (if your face is making the WTF expression, just watch it). The film’s original song writing and charm made it a classic and it was recognised with an Oscar for best original song in 2007.
