For all those who think it's cruel to leave your pooch in the car while you go stock up on flat-pack furniture, there is another way. An IKEA in Germany has created a service that allows you to "park your dog" without feeling bad about leaving the poor thing alone in the car.
The squares of astro turf have a post to tie your dog to, while giving it enough freedom to stretch its legs. IKEA is famous for the fun areas it has for people to leave their children and apparently now, pets are getting in on the act with a few creature comforts.
For now they are only available in Germany.
