The Day of the Doctor to be Shown in Cinemas in 3D

The 50th Anniversary episode Doctor Who comes to your television/laptop screen on November 23rd, and by all accounts it's gonna be a right doozy.

(Take a deep breath) Somehow not content with being the anniversary show of one of Britain's longest running and most dearly held TV shows, and dissatisfied with being the first episode in the modern Doctor Who franchise to feature a team-up between the current Doctor and a past incarnation, AND finding the idea of starring screen legend John Hurt a bit on the underwhelming side, "Day of the Doctor" has gone and powered itself up one more level.

Another Simpsons character to face the axe

It appears that in the next season of The Simpsons (season 25) one of those much beloved characters is to die!

Agents of SHIELD Premieres On Friday

Marvel's first proper foray into television began last night over in the Americas and kicks off here on Friday.

Breaking Bad Spin-Off Series On Its Way

You love Saul Goodman right? Well he's getting his own spin-off! "Better Call Saul" will be a prequel to Breaking Bad, so no Walter White for you I'm afraid. It'll explore how Saul got to the point in his life where he was comfortable being the legal counsel to a murderous and slightly insane drugs baron.

American Psycho TV Series

As a TV exec in the States, when looking at which shows to greenlight, you must go back to the well and remake something that someone already did once and that people already like so that there's no possible way it can fail. If you did something new and original it might not immediately do well, in which case it will be deemed a bomb and you'll lose you job! No no... let's just take a film that people like and buy the rights to that and make it into a TV series OK?

IT Crowd Reboots for Final Episode

Dear sir/madam, I am writing to inform you of a special episode of the well-known TV series, The I...no, that's too formal.

Dear sir/madam, IT Crowd ...exclamation mark. IT crowd... exclamation mark. Watch it...exclamation mark. Looking forward to watching it too. All the best...

RIP Sir David Frost

Legendary broadcaster Sir David Frost died today aged 74. He was aboard the Queen Elizabeth to deliver a speech this weekend and is believed to have suffered a heart attack.

You might remember Sir David from the film Frost/Nixon, when he was played by Michael Sheen, but he also played himself in a number of TV shows over 5 decades, ranging from the serious stuff like his interviews with Richard Nixon (the Nixon in Frost/Nixon obviously, who's also dead) through his topical morning show Breakfast with Frost which ran for 12 years, right the way back to his work as a comedy writer in the 70's and 80's.

12 Monkeys TV Series

Terry Gilliam's weird and wonderful time travel movie 12 Monkeys, originally starring Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis, is to be adapted to TV by purveyors of enormous monster animals SyFy.
